Welcome
Whether you or a loved one is experiencing symptoms of a psychiatric illness, negotiating a significant life change, or looking for an opportunity for self discovery and personal growth, selecting the right mental health professional is important. I have practiced psychiatry for forty years and have been both an educator and leader in the Denver psychiatric community. I have held clinical leadership and teaching positions at the medical school. I served as medical director for various institutions including the University of Colorado's Depression Center, The Colorado Anxiety Disorders Institute, The Health One Hospital System (Rose Medical Center, Swedish Medical Center, Presbyterian St. Luke's Medical Center, and Aurora Regional Medical Center) and Bethesda Psychiatric Hospital. In treating psychiatric disorders or psychological distress, I use a variety of approaches including psychotherapy, medication management when needed, and holistic approaches to achieve successful outcomes. I hope the information on the following pages gives you a sense of my background, experience and values that underlie my practice.
I will be retiring from my practice in March of 2026 and am therefore not accepting any new patients in my practice.
